Dr. Lakhanpal is a board-certified physician and practice partner at the Retina Care Center in Maryland and has been in practice for 20 years. He completed his residency in Baltimore and then two retina fellowships: a medical and research fellowship at the University of Southern California (Doheny Eye Institute) and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles and has served as a Sub-Investigator or Principal Investigator for many of the clinical trials in retina over the past 15 years, many of which have resulted in the current treatments we offer our patients.

Dr. Lakhanpal is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Retina Specialists, and he is also a member of The Retina Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

He is also a founding member and past president of the Vit-Buckle Society, which he co-founded in 2006.
